The Magach 6B Gal is the last blazer variant of the M60A1 Patton tank. The added name of Gal refers to the Gal fire control system. Vehicles with the Gal FCS on board can be Identified by the enlarged armoured housing of the gunners primary sight on the turret roof and bolted disk on the right front side of the turret.
The Legend kit of the Magach 6B Gal version of the M60A1 PAtton comes replete with a full turret, blazer armour suite and a filled upgraded turret basket. This kit is a much updated replacement of Legend kit LF1056 which required the turret of the M60 kit. A small complaint if it is one is I would have liked the choice of the open or filled basket as the LF1056 had a PE and plastic rod open basket.
The kit is boxed rigid cardboard box with major components wrapped in bubble wrap. All the small parts are contained in two small closable plastic bags (photo 3). One bag contains all the parts necessary to for the turret, including main gun with thermal sleeve and crew served weapons. The second bag contains the full blazer suite for the vehicle. Lastly there is a small photo etch fret and a length of wire and string.
Kit is cleanly cast in tan resin. TC and loaders hatches need be drilled out or utilized for placing upper torsos of crew. Otherwise cleanup is limited to cutting off pour plugs and sanding flush.
